Supporting Kiwis to do the things they need and want to do.

Our services provide people who are blind or have low vision with practical and emotional support. We start by finding out what is important to you or your loved one and then match our services to your individual needs. Our team work across New Zealand to provide personalised vision rehabilitation services to help you do the things you need and want to do.

Here are some of the ways we can provide support, shared through the stories of some wonderful Kiwis.

Day To Day Living

Service 03/05

We can support you to learn new skills or regain old ones, to retain your independence and help you to continue doing the things you need and want to do. This might include new ways to cook, shop, or do things around the home. You may even want to head out for a coffee at your local, just like Jenny does in her story.

Counselling &
Adjustment

Living with sight loss can, at times, be difficult. We offer counselling and opportunities to connect with others on a similar journey, which can help you adjust to your changing sight. Sally found having someone to talk to who understood sight loss helped her take control of her world. Here’s her story.

Getting Around

Service 05/05

We’re dedicated to providing skills to help you get around safely and independently, whether that’s using a white cane, public transport or a guide dog. If a guide dog feels right, it can give transformational mobility, confidence and independence. Find out how Sina became independent again with Delta.
